Researching how accessible technology and content can support people in specific environments
We research how to design more supportive digital and physical environments and processes that improve access for everyone, including people with disabilities, with a focus on:
Educational environments ranging from K-12 to community colleges to universities.
Workplace environments and models including onsite, hybrid, and virtual.
Healthcare and physical rehabilitation settings.
Regional, community, and government settings.

Aligning with the College of Design & Georgia Tech
CIDI explores the ways that people engage with the world by centering those whose experiences have been historically excluded from design processes, including people with disabilities who are expert designers of their own lives. In doing so, we help create a community of learning, discovery and creation that empowers people of all backgrounds.
