This study was part of the COVID-19 Communications Project, a collaboration between the CDC Foundation and CIDI.

The goal of this study was to gather user insights around existing CDC COVID-19 content and investigate needs for alternative format development for people with disabilities.

The research team conducted focus groups and remote interviews with the target audiences of three accessible media formats as:

  • Minimized text complexity
  • Braille and tactile graphics
  • American Sign Language (ASL)
