Melissa Klepper is a certified braille transcriber with over 15 years of expertise in braille transcription and tactile graphic design. She has held key leadership roles with the National Braille Association (NBA), including serving on the Board of Directors and chairing the Tactile Graphics Committee and Computer Assisted Transcription Committee, as well as contributing to the NBA Textbook Formats Committee. In March 2023, Melissa joined the Georgia Tech Center for Inclusive Design and Innovation (CIDI) as a Braille Media Specialist II, following a decade as Executive Director of Visual Aid Volunteers, Inc. (VAV). Passionate about accessibility, she is committed to staying at the cutting edge of industry advancements and technologies. Melissa also enjoys sharing her knowledge by mentoring and training fellow transcribers and tactile graphic designers.
