Lauren Mitchell Lee
Research Communications Program Manager
Lauren is passionate about making the complex simple. She has both an undergraduate and graduate degree from Vanderbilt University (which is known as being a "Double 'Dore"). In undergrad, she double majored in Medicine, Health and Society and Religious Studies. After working for a couple of years, she went back to get her masters in public health with a concentration in health communications and informatics. She has worn many hats, such as social media manager, webinar facilitator, web designer, video creator/editor, graphic designer, and much more!
At first glance, this role may not seem like classic public health. But, every single project here impacts the social determinants of health, which are the non-medical aspects of health. These include things such as safety, the ability to work & play, a sense of community, participating in society, and much more. Lauren is honored to be able to support these essential projects and is excited to tell the stories of CIDI!
