Christie George

Outreach Program & Operations Manager, Sr., Tools for Life

Christie has long been driven by a deep passion for advocacy, health promotion, education, and community empowerment. This commitment has inspired her to significantly impact these areas, both professionally and personally. She started her journey in high school by becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant, an experience that inspired her to pursue healthcare. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health with a concentration in Wellness, a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration, and a postgraduate certificate in Healthcare Quality & Safety.

Her educational background opened doors to gaining valuable experience in the K-12 system, where she focused on education and collaboration. These experiences deepened her appreciation for community engagement and youth development. Christie realigned her career goals to focus on public health and healthcare, working at Morehouse School of Medicine. There, she facilitated Community Health Worker (CHW) programs for youth and young adults across the United States and engaged in efforts to increase CHW work at Georgia's State Capitol. During her journey she gained over ten years of leadership experience, rooting her principles in strong ethical and moral values, leading her to impact her community positively. Her professional path reflects education, healthcare, and community involvement, underscoring her dedication to making a meaningful difference in the public health realm. Christie is deeply committed to fostering health initiatives within her community, actively participating in programs that promote health education, and advocating for health equity.

Christie is excited about her role with Tools for Life, Georgia's Assistive Technology Act Program, and looks forward to the opportunities it will provide to further her knowledge and make a positive impact in the community.
